Terms of Service
Reading chulavistagaragedoorrepairpros.com means you accept what follows. It is written plainly on purpose.
Prices here are bands, not quotes
Every figure published on this site is a guide range for planning a budget. Spring wire size, cable diameter and drum capacity are chosen against the measured weight of your door, so a real price exists only once somebody has seen it. You get that figure in writing, and you approve it, before any work starts.
Who does the work
Enquiries placed through this site are passed to licensed, insured local contractors who carry out the repair. In California this trade sits under Contractors State License Board classification D-28, Doors, Gates and Activating Devices, and you are entitled to the licence number of whoever attends. Ask for it, and check it. The estimate and the warranty you sign on the day are between you and that contractor.
Do not work on the counterbalance
The guides on this site are written to help you understand a fault, not to walk you through fixing one. Torsion springs, extension springs, lift cables, cable drums and bottom brackets carry the full weight of the door and stay loaded even with the door on the floor. Releasing any of them without winding bars causes serious injuries every year. Please leave that hardware to somebody equipped for it.
Accuracy
Standards, codes and prices move. We update this site as we learn things, and we do not guarantee that every figure or reference is current on the day you read it. Nothing here is legal advice or an engineering specification for your particular door.
Limits
We are not liable for loss arising from how you use this website or the general information on it. Anything to do with a specific repair is governed by the paperwork issued at the time of that repair.
Reaching a person
